Shelving: We all know shelves are a great for organizing. With proper installation L Frame brackets can supply a great base for making shelves. The additional shelving creates a place to store boxes that you can’t fit in your attic and they make it easy to get things up off the ground and make more walking room in your garage. Recently I’ve seen a lot of people building shelving around their pegboards to provide a great area to place all of their power tools that come with those fancy hard plastic-carrying cases. This is a great idea for any garage. If you have any special power tools, such as drills, saws, air tools shelves make the perfect place to store those carrying case. One of the most underutilized areas to place shelving is above the garage doors. If you have a ladder it’s a great place that you can create shelving to around the entire perimeter of your garage. This allows even more storage space that is commonly left unused.
These days, state of art modular cabinet systems are being made that add style, sophistication as well as strength in modern cabinet designs to transform your garage into a functional room to keep all your extra stuff, leaving the house clean and ordered. Not only your garage, but these cabinets also provide you a chance to keep your house clean. Now you don’t have to leave your machines, devices and tools lying around. With proper garage cabinetry, all these things can be stored in their rightful places to be found easily whenever you need them!
Parking Guide: It’s not uncommon to find an assortment of parking scratches and bruises in residential garages. One of the most popular remedies is the old tennis ball on a string hanging from the ceiling trick. This is a time tested remedy that works, but there are also modern solutions as well. Enter laser and proximity parking guides. Laser guides typically attach to the ceiling on or near the garage door opener. When the door is opened, the laser is activated and lights up a beam. All you have to do is line up the beam to a particular spot on your dashboard when your vehicle is already parked. Then, each time you pull in, let the preset beam show you where to stop. You can get just a single laser or a dual-laser depending on the needs of your garage. Proximity sensors, unlike lasers, mount on the wall you approach when you park in your garage. With these, you simply preset the distance between your bumper and the sensor. Then, as you approach, the sensor will tell you when to stop. Some models even act like a stoplight, with a yellow caution lamp, followed by a red stop lamp.
Customizable metal pegboard is set to revolutionise utensil storage. For forty years the limitations of fibreboard has narrowed our imagination in utensil storage. Is your utility room, garage or workshop cluttered with tools and equipment and impossible to move around in without knocking over stacks of junk that you forgot was even there? Well now it’s time to move the clutter from the floor to the walls and free-up all that space and make finding utensils, tools and other items easy with striped pegboard panels or regular wall panels.
Pegboard: Pegboard is nothing new to home garages. However, there are plenty of modern innovative shelves, hooks, bins, and containers that fit into pegboard. You can find these items at any home improvement center. You can use them for lawn and garden tools, household hardware, winter clothing, hand tools, etc. Pegboard is the most versatile type of organizer you can use. Basic pegboard is a little flimsy, but you can make it stronger by adding more supports when you mount it. You can also paint it to fit the theme of your garage. There are also other types of pegboard such as plastic and metal, which are available in different colors. Of course, they’re a little more expensive, but they’re also stronger, so you can use them to hold heavier items. No matter which type of pegboard you use, it’ll help you control clutter which is one of the most common problems in residential garages.
If you own a home with a garage, it is likely that you are not making full use of the space that is available. As a matter of fact, the garage tends to be one of the more cluttered areas of the home and it finds its way into this situation over the course of time. After all, the garage is an area of the home that is not open to the public eye in most cases and it is often the choice location for items that do not have any logical place in the home. Before long, we find that the area is cramped and we may not even be able to park a car in the garage as a result. What are some of the things that you can do in order to make more space in the garage?
The best wall storage systems you can find are the hardboard and fiberboard wall panels with grooved, pegged, slat, and holed slits which are designed for holding tools and utensils firmly and safely with panel fixtures. Traditionally there was just fibre board panels or pegboards available for consumers these came generally in 4ft by 8ft panels, a quarter inch thick, and had either slits or holes, available for the last 40 years they have served their purpose well but were restricted in utility and function and were not designed for much customization, now you can buy striped pegboard panels or custom colored panels made from metal.
